भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति इब्राहिम मोहम्मद सोलिह ने मालदीव में ग्रेटर मेल कनेक्टिविटी प्रोजेक्ट्स को आज लान्च किया और साइबर सुरक्षा, आपदा प्रबंधन और पुलिस बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास जैसे क्षेत्रों में भी समझौते किए।

माले कनेक्टिविटी परियोजनाओं का निर्माण भारत के 100 मिलियन डॉलर के अनुदान और 400 मिलियन डॉलर की लाइन ऑफ क्रेडिट के तहत किया जाएगा। भारत ने मालदीव में विकास परियोजनाओं के लिए 100 मिलियन डॉलर की ऋण सहायता भी दी है।
